Title: Jacobs starter kit.
Post by: Larry on March 11, 2008, 02:22:53 pm
Step right up to purchase your very own Jacobs starter kit.  All you need is a refrigeration unit, innerds, coin mech, and a lit up Pepsi cap.

I have a confession,
If I didn't have so many  unfinished projects, and cobwebs and dust balls in the cool stuff fund, I'd  seriously  consider making a run on the mailbox.  I remember that style on  almost corner  as a kid,  redone, with the lettering red on a white background, maybe the the Mr Zip logo,  it would look cool in the game room  a few feet of the Gas pump. Maybe as a liquor cabinet..

There was also a wall mount unit, I had a plastic wall hanging  of one as a kid, that would be just as cool.

They still have this style of mailbox in Chicago.  Next to them, usually, is a green mailbox for storing their cart.  The green one is the one you want for a cooler.  It has the same shape, but it has a front door that opens from top to bottom.  The blue mail box only opens from the bottom.  Unless you want to use the bottom as a cooler and the top swinging door as a serving tray.

I just thought it was funny when the guy said to use your imagination on a beer cooler.  I figured I'd use a little more imagination and make into a Jacobs.

Yes, I did see his torture chamber.  But I'd rather have the iron maiden.

Those are cool old mail box's but  I think he is a little on the high side :upside:
there was one at the over priced antique mall  (just down the road from my office)            for $250 and it was just as nice with a old lock on in all polish up and it looked good.
