Title: Condensation Patch
Post by: russelltatedotcom on February 27, 2008, 12:57:47 am
Hi guys,
Does anyone know why I get a circular condensation patch at the top of the glass door of my VVF-56 (inbetween the 2 panes of glass)
It always appears after about an hour and makes the bottle caps of the top 2 shelves hard to see?
It dissapears when machine has been off for a few hours?

Cheers

I think that you might have a leak in the top of the bottle door gasket (the one in the door).
A new one is available from the sponsors here - Fun-Tronics and Soda Jerk Works I'm sure.
You might be able to re-seat it - look into it.

Would that be a breaker seal?
(trying to learn the lingo!)

Think what Tom is talking about is the seal/gasket in the bottle door itself. If it is dry and cracked it would allow moisture to build up between the panes.
Hope of some use :-)

Exactly - I think you have an air leak inside the top of your bottle door. If you are going to order one from the sponsors, go ahead and order both-
the one between the main door and the bottle door
and
the one inside the bottle door.
