Title: What's this socket for? Post by: 71mach351 on January 05, 2008, 04:05:39 pm What goes in this socket? And is what's missing why my flouresent bulb wont come on? I tried a new ballast but still no light. (http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x6/71mach351/cokelight.jpg) Does anyone have parts for the Westinghouse WB78-6? The plexiglass over the coke flavor is cracked and I found that all 6 windows are actually 1 long piece of plastic. Is it possible to just cut off 1 window and scab in a better piece? Title: Re: What's this socket for? Post by: dr galaga on January 05, 2008, 04:12:06 pm It's probably for the starter (which is why your light is not going on).
Yea, you may just want to find some cheap, thin plastic for the windows. Title: Re: What's this socket for? Post by: dr galaga on January 05, 2008, 04:14:25 pm Oh, you will want to get one that is the same wattage as your bulb.
Here's what they look like: (http://www.hardwarestore.com/media/product/239400_front200.jpg) Title: Re: What's this socket for? Post by: collecture on January 05, 2008, 04:42:48 pm I have a complete selection panel for a WB78-6 (see attached pics).
Little different from yours, but should be able to make it work. LMK Title: Re: What's this socket for? Post by: 71mach351 on January 06, 2008, 01:14:05 pm Success!
We have light. As for the cracked plexiglass, I'm going to leave it for now. Thanks for the help Rick |
