Title: Refinishing Raised Lettering
Post by: ALTERREX on December 28, 2007, 01:49:50 pm
I have my Vendo-83 door (see attached) in a sign painter shop to have the raised lettering highlighted in white.  Unfortunately my detailer cannot match the colors listed in the Refinishing Guide - all color numbers are obsolete.

Would anyone have the correct number preferably DuPont?  Or have a color chip available?

The detailer plans to use one-shot sign painter's paint and has polar white and lettering white if either of these match but can match anything.

One Shot white is what Fun-Tronics sells for hand lettering.

Can you spray clear coat over it without problems?

Fun-Tronics now has a great web site.  http://www.fun-tronicsllc.com/store.php?crn=258&rn=635&action=show_detail

I know it is an old post but:
Hardener needs to be added to the OneShot or it will lift when you apply clear.
