Title: Vendorlator 56a with Embossed Door? Post by: SIGNGUY on December 13, 2007, 12:44:15 pm Check out this Machine on Ebay currently, Vendorlator 56a with Embossed Coco-Cola lettering on Door. I'm guessing something was cut and put in on this machine, don't think there where embossed originals?

That thing looks like a reworked machine. Somebody repaired an newer machine with the more modern body artwork and added a thrifty-vend bottle door & an embossed metal plate over the light sign area. Post by: 90grad on December 15, 2007, 07:22:07 am Like Josh said, it's original (except for the paint). Someone took a Thrifty-Vend and simply repainted it. Kevin C sent me a sign for my 56 from one he had. It is embossed, has not be repainted, and has the "Enjoy That Refreshing New Feeling" painted on below the embossing. :happydrinkers:

Maybe the graphics on the sides are rather large. I would swap the bottle door with a glass door 56, which should be very easy to find. It's just that walking up to a machine to drop in a coin.........we stand eye to eye with the letters and embossed letters get more respect from many people than a light-up sign. This is the only machine where we can take just the embossed letters to the sign shop. $400 does not sound too high since the hardest and most expensive part, the painting, is almost done. |
