Title: Dr. Pepper for breakfast???
Post by: Larry on December 10, 2007, 09:03:44 pm
Well it's time to reorder my supply of Dublin Dr. Pepper syrup.  I don't recal seeing the Dublin Dr. Pepper site posted before.  So for those of you who don't know about it, here it is.

This is the Old Doc's Soda shops web site.

http://www.olddocs.com/product.aspx?id=148&up1=162&up2=168&up3=0&cat=Miscellaneous&subcat1=Confections&subcat2=

For only ten bucks, you can make sodas, top your ice cream, or make my favorite, Dr. Pepper syrup for pancakes.  Mmmm Mmmmm Good!  Try it, you'll like it.  Kid tested mother approved.  I can't think of any other ads to plagerize.

They also sell imperial cane sugar sodas, but unless your near Waco, Texas, the packaging and shipping will kill you.

The Dublin DP plant is in Dublin, TX - about an hour or two drive from Waco.
Is it shipped out of Waco?
The Dr. Pepper Museum is in Waco - maybe they have merged some operations?

I never been to either of them.  From what I read the  Dr. Pepper bottling plant, in Dublin, Tx., is the oldest Dr. Pepper plant, from 1891, and the only Dr. Pepper plant that still produces the soda with Cane sugar.

Dr. Pepper was first produced in Waco, but a few years later, I think seven years, they moved from Waco to Dublin.

The museum is in Waco but it is not owned by Dr. Pepper or Swcheppes.

The nice thing, for me, is that Retro Soda is only two miles from my work, so I can pick up a case whenever the urge hits me.  But the syrup is only available, from Doc's shop.

You would think that places like Retro Soda would pop up all over the place.  Well, if not all over, at least one in larger metro areas.
