Title: What kind of sodas/bottles does everyone put in their machines?
Post by: darktone on November 17, 2007, 02:00:55 pm
??? I have been buying the mexican soda's- Coke,Pepsi,Sprite,Squirst,Fresca for a few years now. I love the classic look of these bottles. Just got my first pop machine and I just bought a case of coke-$22, case of Pepsi-$24,case of Sprite $30- that's $76 for three cases! Now if I put a $1.25 on the machine I would sell them all for $90. Think I should go more? or should I just put them at $1.00 and enjoy seeing people have fun with the old pop machine and bottles?
What other classic flavors are out there? Has anyone tried contacting the Mexican outfits that sock the small maxibcan stores to see if they could be bought cheaper? Maybe some of us that are close together could approach one of these outfits for a large purchase? Let me here some of your thoughts.

I put in 8oz Coke (Sam's Club $11 a case), Cheerwine and Diet Cheerwine 12 oz glass (about $12 a case),  8 oz Sprite and Diet Coke that I have to buy in 6 packs, Hank's, and whatever else I come across.  I used to put in Crush, but the bottles I have found lately are too short and stout to fit. The cases of Mexican soda that i can get at a local Mexican supermarket cost about $20 a case.

Those little shorty cokes are not too bad because of the price. $11 is pretty good- they cost $4 a six pack here. I like the mexican ones because you can still get them in the returnable bottles- not that you can return them here because you can't but because they are pretty cool looking in the old style bottles and thick glass and of course because they use sugar and not corn syrup. If wonder if that outfit in Minnesota wouls refill these bottles?

I doubt the winona plant would refill them? but wouldn't hurt to ask.

My machines are mainly filled with great Flavors... Miller, Coors, Sam Adams, Grain belt and oh yeah... a few Cokes...

I am sure you guy's must have seen this site before right? Winona Minnesota is like the last Coke bottler in the USA that refills the old bottles.

In the Cavalier USS machine in the garage I keep the beers, water bottles and cans of pop.  All the glass bottles are in the machine in the house.
