Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: GreginNM on February 28, 2008, 02:25:41 pm Brian has pictures of his ST81 7up on the last post on page 5 of "Pre 60s Machines" discussion area. I would post the link, but I have no idea how to do that yet.
Greg Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: Seven181 on February 28, 2008, 06:58:34 pm I have a round and square top 81. What do you need, just pics?
Brian Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: fender leo on March 04, 2008, 08:20:41 pm i just seen the pix of Brians square top 7up.....i'm pretty sure that mine is a painted over 7up machine....where his has the 7up sticker, there is a embossment the right size for the 7up sticker. but mine has a coke sticker on it instead :(
Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: GreginNM on March 04, 2008, 08:23:05 pm Do you have any pictures of your machine that you can post for us to see? If yours is a 7up, it wouldn't be hard to put it back with some fresh paint. Does the embossing say 7up?
Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: fender leo on March 04, 2008, 08:30:52 pm the embossment is square.about the size of the 7up sticker , like on Brians.
no lettering though..... bummer:( i'll look into changing it back to a 7up machine:) is there a paint code for the 7up white ? Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: GreginNM on March 04, 2008, 08:54:58 pm Looks like you are right, it was a 7up from what I see. I'm not sure if there was a special white, but Brian would know best. Can't wait to see it done!
Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: MoonDawg on March 04, 2008, 09:42:15 pm the embossment is square.about the size of the 7up sticker (i'll look into changing it back to a 7up machine:) I like the looks of it i now :happydrinkers: ......restore it in 10 or 15 years Title: Re: Tons of parts parted 4 machines Post by: loman4ec on March 04, 2008, 09:51:01 pm I don't think it looks bad either. I like the fishtail logo. I have never seen one on an upright machine.

I would bet the lettering is there - just hidden. It is definately a 7UP as I can see the bottom part (area normally painted black) in the second pic. Aren't the bubbles and lettering recessed in from the square embossment? |
