Title: biggest lie on Ebay Post by: SquareTopCollector on September 19, 2007, 06:00:18 pm Time and time again I see item descriptions for soda machines stating " I don’t know if the machine works because I never plugged it in" or " it was working last time I used it 5 years ago but I don’t know if it still works because I don’t have the time to plug it in" and the best one yet " I was told it works but I dont know because I never plugged it in. Seems like some good old bull :censored: to me. :glare: How much effort does it take to plug in a machine? Sorry for the rant, I just had to tell someone.

Title: Re: biggest lie on Ebay Post by: Marvin on September 19, 2007, 11:09:48 pm I like the ones that say "can't test because cord is cut." And in the pics you can see a freshly cut cord coming from the machine.
Title: Re: biggest lie on Ebay Post by: Sodak Bob on September 20, 2007, 07:05:25 am Of course they tried to plug the thing in - who is that dang stupid. If you can state the machine runs/cools it is worth piece of mind and a few more $$ to the buyer. But, there is a sucker born evry minute.

Title: Re: biggest lie on Ebay Post by: collecture on September 20, 2007, 01:54:40 pm Actually, it is somewhat a good thing when sellers say this.
A small percentage of the machines I have owned have had non-working compressors - once they are cleaned up and rewired, they run great. Bid accordingly and you might get a cooling machine at a good price! Title: Re: biggest lie on Ebay Post by: coke_and_stuff on September 20, 2007, 09:05:08 pm Believe it or not last fall/winter there were weeks when I was dragging home 5-10 machines home. Working a full time job and a family I didnt have time to wire in a plug, or rewire a compressor to see if it worked. I sold alot of machines as untested.
