Title: vmc 27 door
Post by: Malinut on September 15, 2007, 06:19:00 pm
Picture is the door of a VMC 27,  I really didn't notice this damage until I got it in a well lite room and had coin doors off.  What do you guys think, is it salvageable?

Looks like over time the coin doors have been opened too far too many times.

I have never worked with aluminum, assuming this is a Coke version, and body work... It's probably workable; you'll just have to be careful on how much hammering the metal you do so you don't really stretch things... And then there's how well body fillers adhere to aluminum... Perhaps epoxy primer may be necessary...
