Title: Search Preferences Post by: collecture on September 08, 2007, 09:20:57 pm Another thread got me thinking on this. Jim mentioned a machine he found in an unlikely category.
How does everybody like to search eBay, web, etc.? keyword? category? I usually never do category searches in eBay - my searches usually consist of keywords or combinations of keywords and I get email notifications sent to me. I must confess though that I hardly ever log on to see the ones not displayed on the email. I love to go to live auctions, but I usually find that I could've (eventually) gotten it cheaper on eBay; however, you don't get to visually inspect the item prior to purchase. What do you have the best luck with? You don't have to reveal your secrert code, but just the theory. I have my search saved because it got too long. Frank Title: Re: Search Preferences Post by: collecture on September 08, 2007, 10:33:03 pm I have a lot of those words, but not 'chest'
I use a lot of those same searches, separate the words out so they do not have to be adjacent to each other. Title: Re: Search Preferences Post by: MoonDawg on September 09, 2007, 11:03:23 am E-bay allows searches for different criteria and each user can
modify his own page to include time ending, item number etc. I have included "distance from me" on my search page. When dealing with heavy items where shipping is a major factor, this has been a great tool. |
