Title: Coca-Cola Machine Glasco C-400-U2
Post by: sodaworks on August 31, 2007, 10:10:36 am
There's a Coca-Cola Machine Glasco C-400-U2 cup vendor on ebay # 130146264409 this is just like one of my cup vendors. I still am looking for a manual for it.

I have corresponded with the seller and will be using a couple of his images he sent in the Soda Machines Listings (http://soda-machines.com/content/section/3/14/).
This appears to be in great condition. I also like the slogan: "Prepared by the Bottler of Coca-Cola" across the front; that's a little different.
A manual will take some time to surface...

Mine also says that! Must be original to the machine.

coke probably put that slogan there to reinsure customers that they were getting the same product even though it was from a machine and through an automated process. It also shows that coke retained quality control of the product. The idea of a fountain drink coming from a machine could have deterred customers back then.  Just a thought.

JohnieG,

The Glasco went for over 1600 bucks. complete Pre-mixers are really hard to come by.

Bidding was a little unusual...
Very similar user names bidding on the machine...

Very nice machine, none the less.

With all that I have had going on, I have not frequented eBay as much in the past 6 months or so as in the past. But I have noticed lately that eBay appears to have reduced the non-winner names to a 5 digit non-descriptive name (ie. c***e) - first and last letter (or number) and 3 asterisks between.

Anybody else notice this? When did they start doing it? Do sellers get to see the full names of the bidders?

So that's why the naming was similar...
Goes to show that I don't visit greedbay all that much either...

This new ID system is better than "Bidder 4"

So if Tom's theory is correct, we will still be able to identify
common bidders. Sleepwalk would be "S***K".   We could
disclose our bidder names to each other, but not to spammers.

I agree - it would be nice to be able to slightly discern who you are bidding against - bidder 1, 2, 3 etc. were faceless (or nameless) names - this way (if I am correct), you have some insight.

I think the Glasco pre-mix machines all have great styling.
Here's another example that just looks cool ! ! !
