Anyone have success getting rid of a BAD odor inside a machine??  Something must have died in the one I'm working on!!!  I cleaned everything out very well, and then went back and used Chlorox Bleach....but it still stinks!!

Scrub with baking soda and let it sit.  Any chance you have something inside the tub & shell?

It may be "an old wive's tale," but my Grandma said if you take a pan of vinegar and let it sit where there is a stink, it will take it away.

Regular white vinegar is great to get rid of smells unless it is in the insulation that should take it out.

I always run a box of baking soda , the kind that you open each side  , Keeps the machine pretty fresh.

like stated above it may come from the insulation. Metal should not harbor odor especially once cleaned w/ bleach
