Title: My Choice Vend is on it's last leg
Post by: jasmine64 on August 28, 2007, 04:34:46 pm
I believe the last power outage zapped the motor.

It's making an awful high pitched squeel.

I have it off for now any suggestions?

Yes it's on a power strip not plugged into the wall.

We had back to back outages after a thunderstorm this afternoon now this during the last power outage every thing turned kinda red then went out.

You mean the compressors squealing? if the noise is only present when the compressors running it could be going south for the winter. or could it be the condensers fan/motor, with the machine unpluged, stuff a rag into the fan-blades of the condensers cooling fan/motor, then pkug it back in. if the noise is gone, it's just the fan/motor, if it is still there with the compressor running. it may be time for a new one. or a used replacement unit.

I don't have a used compressor/evaporator assy for a S/V (SelectiVend). but I do have one for a Lacrosse 60-90-100 series. maybe it's time to call Eric at Global Compressors.

It corrected it's self.

I'm going to unplug and clean it this weekend. Give it a good going over and see what I can find. It's been a while since I did that.
