Title: Happy Camper!!
Post by: Creighton on August 16, 2007, 01:18:49 am
Well picked this up 3 weeks ago. 1964 Serro Scotty Sportsman 13ft. It's solid, just needs some TLC. 975 Lbs tow weight. Have gotten a bunch done, more to do. Will post updated pics at some point.

Now you'll have a place to sleep when you get kicked out of the house for buying soda machines

Another cool piece of history!  Where and how did you find it?

Thanks all!!
Have been looking for something small for awhile. This one turned up on eBay 2 miles from the house (Spokane Wa.). Bit more than I wanted to pay but no wood rot to the floor or walls so that saves a bunch of work.

Tired of setting up tents and getting wet when we do have time to camp. Flying anywhere is just a nightmare anymore so will use it for travel to the western trade shows we do. It is fun to work on and research. Just wish I was a foot shorter at times :-)

You are right Bryan!! Just doesn't seem to be much for machines up here though.

That is cool  :tounge:

It looks like something you would see in an old photo of Route 66.

Best of luck with it.   :happydrinkers:

Creighton,
Nice Scotty you got there! I too have been looking for a good vintage trailer for quite sometime. all the ones in my area have had severe water damage or I was a day late. I do have my 47 Teardrop but I don't have the time to restore it anytime soon. The neat thing about a clean vintage trailer is you can park it next to a million dollar RV and still get all the glory!

Terry or anyone in CA. that wants a project and an absolute show stopper when finished. Here you go. I don't have the time or tools or I'd be bringing this guy home :-(

Hey Pat,
The 1934 would restore just fine. It would take 10k and at least 1000 hrs. Lacking both it will be someone's else project. Funny, SWMBO said buy it.

Please PM your addy, I've got a shot glass from Curacao for ya.
