Title: Root River Antique Power Show
Post by: dr galaga on July 23, 2007, 01:08:39 pm
This past weekend I went to the Root River Antique Historical Power Assocation show in Racine, MN ( half way betwen Rochester and the Iowa state line).  It was mostly a tractor show, but they had a small town that had historical items set up.  They had a town hall, print shop, general store, gas station, etc.  I finally had some 1919 root beer (they had it for sale in the General Store).  It was so-so.  I guess I was expecting more because of everything that I have heard about it. I also picked up some Coke and other pop bottles in the flea market area.
Below are a few pictures of the gas station that was there.

They also had a model train that you could ride on.  These were a little bit smaller than what you would have found in the old amusement parks.
