Title: New toy... Post by: globalcompressors on July 22, 2007, 04:33:32 pm Funny thing, my wife and I went out to price a new stereo system for "Black Betty" and, huh...well...I found a new stereo, but it had this wrapped around it. This is a limited production (only 500 made) Boss 302, Saleen/Parnelli Jones, special editiion mustang...#119. I think Black Betty is jealous... Title: New toy... It's a true "shaker" hood design. The engine is a  4.6L that's been bored and stroked to 302 cubes. All the work came from Saleen, out of Irvine CA.. 400 hp @ 6000 rpm.  0-60 in 4.7 sec. and 1/4 mi  13.2 sec @ 107 mph.   At least that's the specs on it.       Title: New toy... Problem with the deliveries...only a 1/4 mi at a time, faster than Dominos though...Holy...S T!!! Thanks Jim. We'll work on that, just after I make good on the deal of "selling my soul"... I only went in looking for a stereo. Go figure... Kids, see what happens when you hit the middle age crazies??? Only I didn't buy the Corvette or trade in my wife for a 20 year old blond. The color is the original 70' "Grabber Orange". My camera was cold from being in the house and fogged over. Fuzz Buster will be a great investment. We actually bought the car as an investment. Only 500 made and as mentioned above, worth more when a 1/3 get wrecked. I also bought a trailer to haul it on longer trips and we will be showing the car as often as we can. We already have all the original stickers, documentation, signed magazines and poster, set up for display. Not a single rip or tear on any of the stickers. It's done right. This car isn't fast...  IT"S  F****'N  FAST!!!  and I don't have a death wish. Besides, who would take the place of you favorite compressor builder, should anything happen?   More pictures to come as we head down that road...I'll keep you posted! Eric   Title: New toy...
