NO -  this was yesterday (May 26th) wonder what this went for? And if the ends were embossed, probably were.... Awesome little cooler.... There was also a Grapette Quikold standard that sold....
Did anyone go?..... wonder what those two pieces went for.... Looked
to have been a great auction......

Looks like I can see some embossing from the right inside.
Where in TX was it?
I would have loved to get that little thing.

Brian (Seven181) sent me the images...
Billy Miles Auction House?
Man that's a killer looking cooler... Wonder how
many of these little guys are still out there?

Looking at the embossing on the candy cooler... I would say the letters were screened
on then it was embossed since the embossing doesn't quite line up
with the screening. Isn't it about the size of one of those little salesman
sample coolers?

Here's the Quikold that sold also...

Guys,

They are small sales sample cooler from the 1940's. I have seen them before for Coke and even 7up. I do not have one, but have seen them. They are really neat. They used to hold little candy bars or soda's for samples back in the day. I will try to call the auction place and find out what they sold for.

Maybe no one bid on them and they're just sitting in the
auction house with a make offer sign on them.....
Then maybe I need to wake up and come back to the real world! :darn:

Oh well.... there are others out there...... right?

I bet not many of these are around...

The more I look at this... I bet this sat on the counter... I bet this wasn't a salesman sample.. the sales men samples are even smaller this thing is
about 2 feet wide that would hold a lot of candy bars... would like to know
who made this thing... definantly was used looking at the rust.

Yeah, why would they make a sample size cooler for candy bars?  They wouldn't sell candy bars out of a "full size" cooler, would they?
