Title: R-12 for sale in paper (freon) Post by: cormy on April 26, 2007, 03:31:26 pm I saw an ad in a local paper for 1 pound containers of R-12 think there was 10 pounds. Asking around $100. Is this a good deal? I'm sure R-12 is outlawed, at least where I live. Do you refrigeration guys still use it in old machines or do ya replace with 134a?
Title: R-12 for sale in paper (freon) Post by: cvb141 on April 26, 2007, 11:53:18 pm The prisce isn't bad, but we never use it any more. We have some old R12 setting in the back we still haven't used up. Tend to use FX56/R409A or R134.
