Title: R-12 for sale in paper (freon)
Post by: cormy on April 26, 2007, 03:31:26 pm
I saw an ad in a local paper for 1 pound containers of R-12 think there was 10 pounds. Asking around $100. Is this a good deal? I'm sure R-12 is outlawed, at least where I live. Do you refrigeration guys still use it in old machines or do ya replace with 134a?

The prisce isn't bad, but we never use it any more. We have some old R12 setting in the back we still haven't used up. Tend to use FX56/R409A or R134.
