Title: carlisle swap meet buys
Post by: cormy on April 20, 2007, 08:44:09 am
Went out wednesday and pick up a few things. The Coca cola button is about 8" round, a bit scratched up but I liked it and was a good buy. The Esso oil drop man/girl, well thats a different story.....

Can I ask how much on the 8" button...?
Do you know what this is from?
I like the Esso Oil Drops!

Nice stuff. The Esso's stuff getting harder to find. That would look cool hanging in my resto shop.

Paid $39 for the button. I don't know how it would have been used, I asked the seller he wasn't sure either, dated 1945. It does have the (4) oblong mounting holes at 12, 3, 6 and 9 oclock.

The only time I've seen a small button like that was from a Calendar Holder sign. I don't own one, so no pictures currently. But I'd bet the button was removed from the other part that held the paper calendar.
Good buy!

Ok, that makes more sense... still 39 bucks is a steel for that sign!, worth more like 250 minimum!

The Oil Drop figures are awsome! What the right $ amount for them?
