Title: uss-8-64 with different door?
Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 06, 2007, 09:39:44 pm
I found this machine at a yard sale for 40 bucks. I have seen other uss-8-64's with different doors that have smaller glass inserts and do not have the coke logo. Why is this so?

cavalier made two styles of the USS-64's. The white with woodgrain and the door with small glass is from the mid to late 70's. The one that is pictured is the later model made in the early 80's. It is the same machine it just has a different coin bezel and a different bottle door.

VERY good score. Any USS-64 is a great machine. It took me a little getting used to the look but the vending choices are what everyone wants today.

is this the woodgrain one you are talking about?

This is my beer machine.  What is the value on it?

The USS 64's are great machines... I have on that is running, and one the same as the one in the picture at the yard sale, but mine needs a compressor.

As far as value goes, on the east coast, I paid $75 for one with a bad compressor.... I think the west coast is getting much more than that... Personally, I try not to spend more than $150 for any square top, and so far I've been successful... :D

I like how they have the glass door and that they are short. Hopefully these machines will increase in value as they age

Loman43c, thats a great looking machine
