Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 03, 2007, 12:23:47 pm what would you offer for this machine based on this picture?
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: BryanH on April 03, 2007, 12:48:02 pm Maybe $25 - $50 if the cooling system works. V63's are pretty common and often sell in the $200 range for unrestored working machines. That one looks like it lost a fight with a truck. Unless you're looking for a parts machine I'd wait for another one.
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 03, 2007, 01:18:27 pm it cools, I was thinking about turning it into a pepsi machine. It is in bad shape
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: MoonDawg on April 03, 2007, 01:18:32 pm Bryan is right on about the price. Based on the picture that
machine LOOKS like crap! But, if it didn't get hit by a truck and is just plain filthy...........it may clean up real nice. If not, you may be able to adapt this compressor into your other machine. Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 03, 2007, 01:24:23 pm owner said its always been stored inside and he had it since new, It would be great if it was only dirty. I can get replacement chrome parts for it off funtronics right?
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: Pat Pixley on April 03, 2007, 03:12:01 pm Yeah I would say if you could get it for $25 0r $50
your getting a deal I also think this will clean up real nice and could make a nice Pepsi machine This is just my opinion. Pat Title: Vendo 63 Post by: ZMonet on April 03, 2007, 03:14:46 pm If the compressor works I'd pay $125 for it. It looks like a little TLC and it will look pretty good. I just bought one for around that much that was in a little better shape but cleaned up nice. You can see it here.
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: Pat Pixley on April 03, 2007, 03:40:39 pm In that photo steve is this got a dent in the front ?
if not and it is just a shadow in that photo and the only thing is the chrome and left over decal and or dirt Now when you said bad shape what do you mean bad shape chrome bent , left over decal's , dirt or do you mean dents all over and missing shelve and other part's. Pat Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 03, 2007, 05:28:23 pm I have not seen it in person yet. I will see it this weekend. The owner said no dents, only cracked glass which is an easy fix. I really think it needs a good cleaning. Can I get parts for it from funtronics?
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: BryanH on April 03, 2007, 06:05:21 pm It looked to me like the small door and possibly bottle door itself were mashed bad on the latch side. If it's not beat to crap and it's just dirty or just the picture then it's running and worth closer to $200. If you're looking to restore it make sure you know what is there and what's missing... things like cap catcher, coin boxes, bezels, coin mechs, etc, etc can all add up pretty fast. As for parts at funtronics or sodajerkworks ... it all depends on what you need. They have some of the more common parts but not all.

and then there is Ebay. And this is what this site is all about helping each other out. If you like it BUY IT ! those vendo 63 are nice little machine's Pat Title: Vendo 63 Post by: loman4ec on April 04, 2007, 12:19:42 am I bet it is just dirty. The chrome at the bottom is actually Aluminum. It is an air intake for the cooling system so it gets dirty easy. I bet it will clean up.
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 04, 2007, 09:07:50 am thanks guys. How do I go about painting it blue?
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: MoonDawg on April 04, 2007, 10:10:13 am (SquareTopCollector @ Apr. 04 2007,7:07) QUOTE How do I go about painting it blue? You don't! You clean this Coke machine up real nice............. then you sell it or trade it for 2 or 3 Pepsi machines. Save your restoration time and money, a good investment project will come to your way soon enough. Title: Vendo 63 Post by: SquareTopCollector on April 04, 2007, 11:59:01 am you are right. How often do un restored vendo 39's pop up in the classifieds?
Title: Vendo 63 Post by: coke_and_stuff on April 04, 2007, 02:23:02 pm Vendo 39s are a dime a dozen, just be patient. Ive personally had about 6 of them. There was one on ebay this morning for $500.00 BIN with no drum.
