Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: FDNY1975 on March 30, 2007, 09:20:09 am There is a VMC 3D-33 for sale locally the seller said he would take $550.00 for it looks like it is clean orig machine. It's a one one piece door with hand truck kit on back. You guy's think it would be worth it? Thank's again
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: halehouse on March 30, 2007, 09:27:26 am That looks really clean and straight. If complete, working, that sounds pretty fair to me. Plus no shipping costs, so I wouldn't say it is high.
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: halehouse on March 30, 2007, 09:30:42 am Is one more desireable than another (split door vs. single)?
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: collecture on March 30, 2007, 09:39:29 am I think it is a fair price.
I've seen some 33-3D machines in worse shape sell for more. I think the 3D is more sought after than the split door. It will only vend small bottles, but it is a great small size and with the dolly can be move around easily. Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: MoonDawg on March 30, 2007, 10:01:56 am I think you should go over there with $500. cash TODAY.
You don't have to pay for shipping or painting. Clean the insides and put it on E-bay. You will double or tripple your investment. Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: Kilroy on March 30, 2007, 10:59:42 am ^^ What Moondawg said
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: loman4ec on March 30, 2007, 11:19:03 am I love the 33's. I have heard that with some tinkering they can vend cans. I like them better than the 39's and other single selections machines.
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: Sodak Bob on March 30, 2007, 12:15:22 pm I would buy it as soon as possible - very fair price. I had one just like it a couple of years ago and sold it for three times that, but to this day I wish I would have kept it. Neat machines..... Someday I will find one in my area.... Nice find !!!
Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: collecture on March 30, 2007, 12:24:34 pm QUOTE I have heard that with some tinkering they can vend cans. That is what Jeff Walters said in his book, but Steve Jebb says that is not true. I really cannot see how since the drum is cast and is only so wide. You would have to have another drum made with wider slots. My first machine was a VMC27, which has the same drum. In high school and college, I used to keep Coors in there (slim can). So some of the Powerade cans and such might work as long as they are not too tall. You do not have to worry about the new Coke bottles not working though with the vending design. Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: FDNY1975 on March 30, 2007, 03:34:17 pm I was going to wait untill next week to go look at it but with all you guy's telling me not to pass on it I was afraid it would be gone so I am now the proud owner if a Vendo 3D-33. Thank's for the quick reply's I'll post some pics when I get a chance. When I got it home and opend it up even found a 1957 and 1959 nickel and some bottlecaps in it. Thank's Alot, Matt

Title: VMC 33 coke Post by: FDNY1975 on April 01, 2007, 12:41:44 pm Thank's guy's I really like it wasn't even ever interested in a 33 but glad I came across it nothing beats finding something local. I think he was the orig owner told me his father had a garmet factory in the 50's machine was there untill about late 70's then just sat in corner of his gararge since then.
