Jim I know it’s a lot of work to maintain a site like this, but you have gone above and beyond. I think it is really cool that you have provided us with a glass of Guinness to drink here while we post today on St. Patrick’s Day

A lot of thanks has to go out to eveyone that frequents SMC ! ! !
After all, a great community is only as good as the people that participate in this great hobby! Without all the great members that have continiuosly contributed their time, knowledge and support, SMC would be just another web site in cyberspace...
Because of SMC, I can honestly say that if and when I meet some more members, I feel like we can just pick up a conversation right where we left off here in the Discussion Areas and not even feel like it may be the first time meeting someone!
Not to get all philisophical, but my goal was to create an enviroment/community where soda machine enthusiasts could talk shop with others around the globe, assist each other in any way possible, with honesty and integrity from the members and all this while still have fun finding stuff in the middle of nowhere...
I think my goal has become a reality, Soda-Machines.Com
So, in the end, I cannot take all the Thanks!
Everyone here has made this possible and I Thank You all for that ! ! !
In conclusion, drinks are on me since it's St. Patrick's Day ! ! !

I'd have to agree with both of you... Very few special interest sites are so friendly and helpful to both newbies and experts.

Yes thank you Jim. Now that I am living so far from home this site really helps with the home sickness. I really miss finding Coke machines and posting my finds. Seeing all of the stuff that all of you members find really helps. So thank you to everyone.

This is a great site.... Taking this Web design class and seeing how
hard it is (I'm not a computer guy) it amazes me how this site works.
I would not have some of the machines I have if it wasn't for this site and I wouldn't have met some of you if it wasn't for this site. Being in my 40s now working, raising kids and just living I've lost touch with a lot of guys that live close... I'm in touch with you guys more than others I've grown up with.
Thanks for this place! And to all of you that have helped me in some way.
Hope we can meet up some day at the Chicago show or some place along my travels.

I do frequent this site due to the nice friendly atmosphere and lack of bickering and self serving you sometimes see at other (no names) sites relating to collector interests.

Half irish half english ) Ok I know I get that look from my wife to. Jim, I to would like to say thank you for starting this site , I joined in 2001 I think a few day's after Johnie G and I have never looked back, I have to check in at least a few time's
a day just to see what's going on with everyone,
We have bought parts from each other or machine's
with no bad blood, This is a great family we have here.
And yes one day I hope we can all get together
at maybe a 10 year anniversary

Although I've only been a member for a little over a year, I agree to that this site is awesome, hence why I'm on it a few times each day! It's nice to know that after soo many years of collecting machines, Coin Op stuff and Coke signs, and hearing from my "So Called" friends that I was crazy for picking up this junk, spending hard earned money on it, etc..... that I'm not insane...We'll maybe a little?? Thanks to Jim and everyone else..!

I agree !! One of the only sites where everyone helps each other. No battle of egos, just good people who love the hobby.
