Title: World War II Kay Display Coca Cola poster
Post by: cormy on March 05, 2007, 10:38:58 am
This poster has some water damage, see the second picture, does anybody know of a place that could restore the damage? Anybody have any experience with this type of restoration?

Cormy,
Not sure what listing your referring to , but if you can buy it cheap, you still might be spending more on the restoration than the sign itself? Can you post the auction number... I have heard of a few people who do cardboard restoration but it's not cheap by any means..

Not sure what you ae talking about either. If its a paper poster you could try www.posterfix.com but it ain't cheap. I collect Rock and Roll Film Posters and got one of mine linen backed a few years ago and that was V Expensive.

I've just looked at his site and just the linen backing is $120 for a one sheet poster. If there is paper loss etc its going to work out more. I'm sure there must be others that will do it cheaper.

Unless it's signed by Dr Pembert himself,  I'd leave it as it is.
The cost to restore is going to far exceed the value of the poster
