Title: cleaning a coin slug rejector Post by: collecture on February 09, 2007, 04:52:21 pm It depends on how dirty (or rusty) it is.
You can run it through the dishwasher or boil it. I have heard of both being done. Maybe a little 000 steel wool to the coin paths. I completely take them apart and clean/polish it thoroughly. They are not complicated mechanisms. Use compressed air after washing and blow everything out. A rejector should be clean and dry - maybe a little powdered graphite on the cradle posts, but that is it. Also, make sure the nickel anvil screws are as tight as you can get them or the nickel won't get the proper bounce. |
