I don't believe you cant wind it too tight. By that, I mean I don't think you can make two revolutions and have the shaft in the correct location for reassembly. You want the coin slots facing up when you go to put the Rear Plate Assembly on. Tip: Have those parts requiring lubrication lubricated before doing this step. It is easier to do and done more efficiently than after reassembly. Also, be sure the spring is not pinched by the shaft spacer.
