Very very cool.
The holes and slots look like it may once have had neon around the disc. have you given a though to adding it back?

This sign never had Neon on it, the slots on the top are from where the hangars attache (heavy Duty as you can imagine) the other holes are just where the bolts are. I've had some luck cleaning up a porcelain sign like that with some simple "Soft Scrub with Bleach" it worked well on the whites, just watch how much pressure you apply, then wax and buff.
Great sign, if you ever want to sell, let me know

Nice sign Gmar,
I was trying to find it in one of my CC collector guides, but could not.
Is it pictured in one?
Was Hayman the name of the store where it was originally mounted?

Thanks signguy, I will try that on the white part. Yes what looks like holes are bolts attaching the parts together. The "Hayman"probably was the restuarant name. They think it was from Kansas City. Would love to find an old picture of it.

Just done a google and this is about all I can find on Hayman in Kansas City... Might be your man.

Single Door Victor C-14
I'm watching this to see if I was in the ballpark with the purchase of mine.
This one looks to be in a little better paint shape, but mine is complete.
This seller mentions a cover on the back, which is actually a wire-like grate.
Mine also has a wire separator on the inside.
Haven't had a chance to check the cooling on mine.
I picked it up and put it right in the Mobile-Mini.
It is a heavy little sucker for it's size.

That doesn't sound bad for a single door.

I thought it a fair deal, but not a great deal!
It is just hard to judge with uncommon machines.

Does anyone know what the hanging brackets look like for this sign?

I think you did good, think of it as money in the bank.

I have a picture of the hangars somewhere... I'll look in my image library tonight... but they aren't anything special if I'm remembering them right.
Did I catch it right. 3k... that is what I was looking at buying one a few years back.. looks like they are still holding value. I opted for the other Fountain Service sign that has the rounded bottom and scallopped edges for about half of that. I still would like the one you have however! I'll find those photos and post.

Is the one your talking about like the one for 3500 running now? If so I have the main body section and the top dark green part but missing the small light green side pieces. Both are the best looking large signs in my opinion.

Yep, It's very similiar to this one on Ebay right now for 3400!!!! Makes me want to sell mine? Only difference between mine and this one is mine say's Fountain Service on the privelage panels on both sides. condition is very similiar. will be curios to see where this ends up?
(Picture is of the one on Ebay)

That is a great looking sign. I probably will never find the small light green panels i'm missing to make mine complete.

Greg, you should just make and paint the missing panels.

Great Sign collection....I used to be able to display my signs like that. all over the walls, ceilings, you name it... then the wife got involved and said no to that... ....boy I loved that room....maybe some day again!
I bet you could have someone or yourself make those peices, granted they probably wouldn't be porcelain? but maybe they'd look good?

Thanks Terry and John.  John are those pieces flat panel or dished out on the back like the buttons?  If they are flat could you trace the outline of them from yours? The wife kind of resticts my display areas also.  I so wanted to put the new sign above the fireplace mantle but I got out voted (Seems like 1-1 would be a tie vote). Guess not.

They are not flat, but for decorator purposes you could make them flat and paint them according?? but they are 3 dimensional. I'll shoot some close ups of mine tonight and sdnd em to you.
if your good at metal fabrication, I'm sure they could be done??? but what do I know... I just collect the stuff.

Do those small pieces have to be metal?  How about fiberglass or wood?  They can be shaped, sanded smooth and painted.

Since they are not original, I guess could be made out of whatever you wanted being they'd just be used for display purposes..
Where did you find that picture? is that one for sale somewhere??? looks like an Antique shop?
