Title: Best Chrome platers?
Post by: SIGNGUY on January 22, 2007, 02:04:46 pm
I have a bunch of parts to be re-chromed but looking to see who you guys use? Who's the best with quality and prices?
I'd love a list of people to call.
Thanks,
John

Paul's Chrome did a large door bezel for me recently.  I thought it was a little high, but it was perfect.  www.paulschrome.com
I have also used High Luster in CA 510-785-0196 They did the doors on my VMC 33.
I have also heard good things about Speed and Sport and Niagra from other members here.

Marvin,

How was the workmanship on the doors by High Luster and the prices?  I noticed the area code you put down in the post...Hayward, CA is near my neck of the woods..I may have to check them out!

High Luster did the doors, handle, hinges and 2 other pieces for 325.00 in 2002.  I thought it was very reasonable.  And the quality was great.  They actually had to redo the doors (my fault) at no charge.  I could not have had a better experience.
When I had the large door bezel done a few months ago it was 240.00 at Pauls.
We use Pauls at my business to do motorcycle parts and they are usually good on price and quality.  I know I am comparing 5 years ago to current pricing, but from a size point the bezel was much more to plate than the doors.
