Title: PLEASE help ID, Is it a Narco or a Vendo 90

OK, been pestering a buddy of mine for 5 years to sell me his coke machine and finally got it last week. Reworked it for free vending and the new paint work is beautiful. I had always thought it was a Vendo 90, however once I got it home I'm puzzled. The main chrome coin drop plate says "NARCO" on it, and the bottle opener seems to have Crown mfg. Co. stamped into it. Looks kinda like a Vendo 90, but it has 11 selection choices instead of 10. The door area is different as well. I'm puzzled, I cannot find a single picture of this machine anywhere other than the ones I've taken below. Please lend me a hand here guys. I also need a lock and key assembly and she will be complete.

Hello Wade,
Patience & persistance do pay off!
As far as your newly acquired Narco machine is concerned, I'll assume you have looked throughly for any type of identification tag... I don't know what model it is but for a Narco machine, it's very nice looking compared to the many other models they manufactured and it's a glass door model !
Someone here may have additional info though...

Thank you very, very much. Like I said, I have combed the internet looking for this one...no luck. Everything is pristine inside and out and dispensing ice cold beverages nightly now!!! Free vend is a god send.
Just wish I knew which one it was so I could get a lock for it...

The lock should be easily replaced as these aren't all that different from other machines of this type.
Perhaps a couple of photos of the back of the existing lock as well as where the lock would line up to actually lock. There may be a bracket or something the back of the lock connected with to ensure a secure coin door after the key has been turned...

Will do, I'll post those when I get home. Seems to be a cylindrical design with an oval or off center cam on the back. There is a galvanized double hooked rod that goes up and down and I'm assumeing the oval rear of the lock would acctuate the bar up and down. The hole for the lock is not smooth, it is notched kinda looks like the profile of an iron cross. Best I can do till I get home and snap some pics...right after I dispense myself a nice cold coors light!!!

Very nice looking machine by the way!
The lock looks like a common one that is often used in a Vendo machine such as the V-63, V-90, V-126. and many other brands.
Some members at this site should be able the help, such as The Soda Jerk Works, Funtronics, just to mention a few. Their are at the top of this page.

Nice! it's hard to find a glass door Narco! It will take the same cam-lock as a 60's squarecorner Vendo V90 , As was stated it the prior posting...agian..Nice!
