Title: Locks for main door Post by: davet426 on January 04, 2007, 05:55:38 pm Do I need anything particular for these locks, or can I just purchase any barrle lock to replace the existing with no key? See ebay item, it will work?
I also need to get in one of the machines, I have heard of people drilling them. Drill bit in the center and go? Lock for main door? Thanks Title: Locks for main door Post by: sodaworks on January 04, 2007, 11:13:32 pm Use a 5/16" drill bit and drill out the center. Than use a screwdriver to turn the cam.

Title: Locks for main door Post by: davet426 on January 05, 2007, 02:37:29 pm WOW! What a great concept!! Look at the old lock and see if the new one matches it ... See, you guys make it to easy to ask dumb questions sometimes . No the link does not look like mine. I posted some pics and did not see any omn e-bay. Would this be a "Lowes pickup" or a specialty lock? Where can I find them?
Thanks Dave "learn to do your homework!" 426 Title: Locks for main door Post by: collecture on January 05, 2007, 04:08:08 pm Alphanumeric codes were stamped into the face of most locks.
Does yours have a number stamp under the masking tape? Some keys are still available. Title: Locks for main door Post by: davet426 on January 05, 2007, 08:47:56 pm Thanks Tom. Would that be on the face of the actual barrel? Because all that is on there is "FLEX-ACE". It looks like there might have been something on the center piece of the barrel, but all I can make out is an "A" because of wear.
Title: Locks for main door Post by: MoonDawg on January 06, 2007, 12:15:22 pm Your machines seem to have been fitted for
security with heavy duty locks. Anyway you should only need the inserts for the barrel lock Otherwise, order a standard lock from one of our suppliers and change them out completely, although you will need to plug some holes. |
