My wife gave me a shirt that says "The older I get - The better I was"!
My sister-in-law gave me BJ Summers Coca Cola Guide 6th Edition.
Browsing through the machine section in it, here are some of the values he quotes.
1. A Vendo Junior/Standard "Drink CC - Serve Yourself" mech cover in VG condition - $150-$200.
2. A Vendo 81 in VG condition - $1500-$2000
3. A Vendo 39 in NM condition - $2995-$3100
4. A VMC 72 in G condition - $1800
5. A VMC Dual 27 in NM condition $2295
6. A Vendo 44 in NM condition - $2400-$2750
7. A Vendo HA56-B square top machine in EX condition - $795
8. A Vendo 23 Deluxe in EX condition - $1395-$1695
9. The plastic store display that resembles a Vendo machine - EX $375
Are these values similar to what you guys see?

Except for the Vendo 81 and the V-44, those BJ Summers prices are way too high!

Would you say his prices are more "retail" prices?

I am waiting for the day when 56-B's are going for $800. I just passed up one for $50 because I have too many irons in the fire and couldn't find time to drive an hour each way to get it... Hopefully it will be relisted in another week or so...

I would say there was very little research done here, he is picking his numbers out of the sky..........or pricing the machines by his own personal prefrences.
Just follow E-bay for a few months to get todays actual market values.

Actually he quotes several sources underneath the item.
Some have Gary Mets and others have Patrick's Collectibles.
An EX condition Westinghouse 42T was quoted by Riverside Antique Mall.
Most have no reference.
