This is my first post to the board. I have had this Coke cooler (Westinghouse DU 144) in my garage for about 15 years. Needs a new power cord because the old one is getting frayed. However, when plugged in the unit still works! But it could still use some cosmetic restoring Wondering how much this might be worth on the market without having it restored first. I am a complete newbie, so all help is welcome. Thanks! Also, if anyone could give me general information on this unit (i.e.- years it was manufactured, etc) that would be great! Unfortunately, the DU-144 does not have a lot of inherent value because of its' free vend construction and size. I like them even though they are a little big. You don't see too many and yours looks to be in better than average shape from the picture. Average condition book value on it is $375, but I would value yours a little higher - around $600 if complete, clean and working - possibly higher. Would love to see more pictures! Each picture needs to be under 200k to post (not sure of the gross limit per post), but you should be able to add a few at a time. Title: Westinghouse DU-144 - Any info? The machine would need a paint job before the wife would let you put it in the Living Room.
A restored machine value is one that has been completely broken down and all parts re-plated, polished and repainted. It should look new. A machine with just an exterior paint job would not qualify as a "restored" machine. Title: Westinghouse DU-144 - Any info?
