Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: dr galaga on December 04, 2006, 06:29:27 pm Yea, fake is fine for younger kids.
If you want more ideas, Moppet is a company that made small coin-op games for kids. KLOV entry. There is a guy over at the KLOV forums that collects Moppets. I thought he had more pictures on his web site, but there is only one of him inside of one (Noice is a character). Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: Creighton on December 04, 2006, 06:46:16 pm Saw a half scale working desk phone in pink at Dillards. Think it was $20.
Creighton Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: davethebirdman on December 05, 2006, 02:45:57 am That fake phone would be almost as expensive as some original ones I have seen.
It might be worth your while just hanging on a while. Oroginals turn up all the time in pink and I have seen them for less than $100.00 Fake is definately OK for kids. Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: davethebirdman on December 05, 2006, 02:48:13 am I think something like my perfume dispenser would look nice too.
That come up from time to time at reasonable prices. Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: Ridewithme38 on December 05, 2006, 03:09:04 am I wish i could find that...i think that a very cool item for a little girls room...i've got to start searching ebay for master-matic now
I don't even know if i'm going to go through with this now that i'm thinking about it....i'd probly end up spending at least a few grand...and my daughters only a year old so she can't really apreciate it anyway...i'd be building it as a selfish way of saying "Look what i built" Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: BrianB on December 05, 2006, 07:26:07 am Man, sounds like your daughter is going to have one heck of a cool room! You will have to teach her how to recognize nickels and dimes here real soon!
I just thought of something my dad used to say to my brother and I....."You boys are going to nickel and dime me to death!" Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: rogerz on December 05, 2006, 10:10:46 am Man Dave now your just teasing me with your sign
Could you show me a picture of the back side? What does the wall mount look like and the change holder? Thanks rz Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: davethebirdman on December 05, 2006, 11:46:10 am Roger
I'm at work at the moment but when I get home I post pictures of the back. The sign is part of the back mounting. The coins drop into a tray at the bottom. The coin itself is part of the mech to dispenser the perfume. It'll be easier with pictures. Dave Dave Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Seriously - nice piece Dave! Did you buy that for yourself or is that one for the wife? Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: MoonDawg on December 06, 2006, 03:19:15 pm When she becomes a teenager, she will not be caught dead using a land line
I'm going to bet that payphone is actually beige..looks sort of pink in the picture but won't blend with the hot pinks you are using now Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Not sure if you have any plans yet. I came across this web site today. You can probably scale down one of the classic cabinets (mini Ms. Pac-Man?). Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: davet426 on December 06, 2006, 08:32:32 pm Just think, she keeps it all for 18 years and then you have her college tuition... Not bad! Might help to bring the wife on board for those purchases!
Curtis those are awesome!! Title: Any vintage machines come in pink? Post by: vend_dr on December 06, 2006, 09:18:13 pm Well not that you would want it in a childs room but Automatic Products did produce their Smokeshop Cigarette machine in a pink color in the 50's or early 60's. They used to have one on display in their plant.
