Your paint will go further and another advantage is that you can turn a gravity gun side ways to get into hard to reach area's. If your turn a syphon gun the same way you'll spill paint out of the cap and onto your paint job. if your looking for a good HVLP gun for under a 100 bucks I would  buy a Sharpe Finex 300. I have 4 of them. I use a 1.3 tip for base/clear coat. 1.5 for single stage. A 1.8 for poly primer and a Finex FX100 1.0 touch up gun.
My next gun will be a SATA satajet 3000 which will only be used for shooting clear coats. this gun is one of thee best for atomizing on the market but costs over 500 bucks.

SATA does make some awesome spray guns!
