Title: V63C DP machine finally comes home
Post by: bubba on December 02, 2006, 09:04:40 pm
This machine is cleaner than I could have hoped for..  A good cleaning and polish, and this machine will look new.. Very few chips in the paint, and no rust. The front door is painted in what looks like a leather look... very cool. I wouldn't even know how to duplicate the paint. It also has a wierd coin mech... NRI? I pulled the rejector out, and didn't see a way to change the price.. I only spent about 10 min looking at the machine... will plug it in again tomorrow.  Not bad for $140...

Looks pretty clean already!
Is the front door painted, or is it a big sticker?
If you redo the front, you should take a high qaulity scan of the Stay-On Tab sign first.

Doc.. the front door looks to be painted, and doesn't need to be redone. I'm not gonna do much other than a wash and wax.. This one will clean up real nice. The condensor fan motor is making noise and will need to be replaced. I haven't tested this coin mech yet either.... I resized that decal for the forum here... I have a 300 pixel/inch photo of that label too.

The man that invented the stay on pull tab is from my home town in Lebanon Oh. His name is Ralph J Stolle. Just thought that was cool.

In Dallas, I grew up with the son of the man who invented the twist-tie - they had a nice house!

Yeah Mr Stolle was actually one of the richest men in Ohio. He donated a ton of money to the comunity. He also built our local YMCA and it is the biggest YMCA in the US. All just from inventing the pop top.
