Title: CS-80D compressor wiring
Post by: davet426 on December 01, 2006, 07:15:15 pm
I took a bunch of pics for the wiring on my CS80 to the compressor relay switch, and Eric from global compressor was a great help on finding the 3in1, but stole my confidence with "follow the directions and make sure you wire it correctly", just kidding I appreciate the words of wisdom. The unit was fried to the inside of the housing and crumbled as I pried it off, Ican't be sure where everything went. In looking at it fear I will not be able to wire it correctly. A couple of questions.

1. Is there a manual or diagram that can give me the wisdom needed?
2. They are building a bunch of houses around, would this be some I could pay an AC guy a few bucks to do for me? Would he (should he) have the knowledge?

Thanks

Thanks

Dave,

The compressor should have 3 pins. If you have, looking at it straight
on, one at the top and two on the bottom, a triangle, the top is
common, bottom left is start, and bottom right is run.

If there are two at the top and one at the bottom, top left is common,
top right is start, and bottom is run.

Your 3 in 1 has a wiring diagram. Plug them in, stand back, hit the power!!!!!!!  If the breaker blows, the compressor is fried. I'm betting , looking at the pics, the compressor is smoked anyway.

Call me if you need anything.

Eric
