Title: Neighboring town made a purchase
Post by: jasmine64too on November 27, 2006, 06:30:22 pm
from the estate of the family that owned first bottling company to manufacture/bottle Coca Cola there.

Anyway they purchased all the memorbilia and items from the plant to open a museum. For $20, 000.00. Now they need a building.

They did this to keep it from being sold off on ebay.

Ranges from 1920's to when it closed in the 70's.

Looked like alot of stuff.

That would be the Root family estate from Daytona Beach Fl. They also have a museum in Daytona that I posted about a while back. That is really cool.

There have been sellers on ebay selling stuff from the Root Family estate for quite some time now... so I believe they have had several auctions and sales to reduce the inventory. I'm sure they kept the best of the best for this sale/museum.  Are there any photos or stories ??
