Either way... wow. very nice.. sure would be cool if he let someone get a real nice clean shot of the machines lined up like that..  would make a great wall hanger or calendar.... I just found a neat shot of a guy who has 50+ Old gas Pumps outside of his barn all lined up ready for restoration . really cool picture, it's the desktop on my work computer now!
HERE's the link..http://www.gaspumphobbyist.com/SDGasPumps.html Sure would be cool to come across a photo like this of old Pop Machines old or recent?? anyone know of something like that???
Oh did I mention I'm getting into Gas Pumps now? Just another offshoot of ROUNDTOPS... I only have one so far, but can be as addicting as Pop Machines... I can't stop looking at them on the web/ebay now driving around looking in old barns for Pop Machines and Pumps!
Some STOP THE MADNESS>>> I  need professional help! :help:  :darn:

I think a Calender would be a great idea. Soda Machines, Pumps & Jukes Oh don't forget Candy Machines & Barber Poles. I'd definately have one.

I've just done a "google" and there are shed loads of sites some free some charging
that create calenders with your own photos.

We could have our own 2007 forum calender. If I
get a minute I might have a look into how to do it.

Although my technological skills are only matched by my
mechanical and electrical knowhow ....... Zilch.

Signguy!.... Yeah thanks to Joey posting www.oldgas.com
I'm like'n the pumps and signs too... I have 2 Bennett 700 series pumps and am on the hunt for a Wayne 60... and wouldn't mind a visible though the visible and 60 models are getting as high as restored soda machines....
But how cool.... the 60 is SWEET!!!!

Yes, Great looking Pump... I didn't know how many different styles, shapes and configurations their where for Gas pumps, and now that I've spent some time online looking at them, WOW>.. I'm hooked.. I just purchased a Bennett 1066 that needs total restoration but figured that would be fun to work on and when it's done should look like this one, and figured I bought it for my garage that houses my vette so this picture was appropriate!

This is what happened to me, started out with soda and progressed to gas. I love the pic of those old Gulf pumps, currently my favorite "brand" thanks for posting. Still, a pump can"t compare to a nice round top soda machine when side by side. Downside is gas/ oil signs are way more expensive than soda signs, but the pumps are cheaper at this time than machines.

Title: Check out the collection of 81's!!!
Post by: Eric on November 09, 2006, 11:00:58 am
Yeah they are cheaper than the soda machines,at this time, but
certain models are climbing..... that 60 I posted is from oldgas.com... that's the model I want and it has really climbed for some reason...
probably cause of the deco look... visibles are still pretty high too....
I have 2 Bennetts (700) .... gonna do them in Sinclair..... and I use to have a Tokheim 300 but sold it a couple years ago
Like to find a oil can rack to put between them...

Jeff, Thanks for checking in us Dreamers!!!! Most of us have some nice machines that were all proud of but 80!!! WOW... to acquire that many for my personal collection, I'm guessing ... i'd be through my 3rd or 4th wife by then!!
Congrats on great machines, it sure would be great to see more photos if you'd like to share for those of us who probably won't be able to make it Jersey to see them in person...
or the other idea.. was would be fun to have some photos of bunch of machines together for use as computer screensavers, desktop backgrounds and maybe a calendar. I know a Machine calendar exsits but the wife won't let me hang it with all the "Gals" in bikini's on every page.. don't get me wrong.. nice calendar but not what I can display.

Hi Eric, I collect  Soda machines, jukeboxes, and candy machines, I have some very  rare machines,  it all started about ten years ago. I bought my first vendo 44. It was restored by a guy  who did such a bad job,but i did not know anything about the  soda machines. From then on i would only buy unrestored machines and have them restored by the best, Most of my machines were restored by vintage vending and by curtis of memory lane.I like things  to look beter then new.  i own the only siphon mix in the world, the victor kooler grill and a lot of cool stuff, Love to show my stuff if any one is ever in new jersey. jeff

Hi Jeff

You are a bit of a legend on this group and your collection is often mentioned. So its nice to see you check in at last.
Curtis has posted pictures in the past for us all to dream over. We love pictures.

If I ever get the chance to be anywhere New Jersey I'd love to call in and take a look at that collection of yours. I'm sure that everyone here feels the same way. Its great to see so many wonderful pieces of history standing next to each other.

Terry that Bennett 150 clockface is valued at $1,100.00 in the book I have. Is it complete? Visi gauge there?

Probably worth the 1,200 clockfaces are very desirable.

I think making a calendar with soda and candy machines would be great. I will work on it for 2008 as it will be to late for 2007, I will make it clean so you can hang it up in front of your kids. Leave it to me , you will not be disappointed. I will charge what ever it cost me to print, I do not need to make any profit on it. jeff    some one come up with a good cover.

If you guys would ever like to meet , I would be happy to host a party at my house in the summer if we could get a bunch of people to get together. We could make hot dogs  on the kooler grill , drinks on the  galixie dispenser, have ice cream out of the vendo ice cream machine, and if kids come , milk  out of the vendo milk machine. everything works. How cool would that be. We could use the photos to make the calender. jeff   P.S. Curtis knows were to get the best donuts in the world. He just sent me a box yesterday.

A Party would be a great time... Like and Elvis Fan visiting Graceland, Nascar Fan at Jeff Gordons House, The Pope sitting at the last supper!!!!

Sounds like fun..

As far as the calendar goes... don't go through too much trouble on it.. I mainly was hopeing to just get some nice photos of machines on display... but I think a cool cover would be either a collage of pictures of all of them, or somehow put them all together (I realize this might not be possible) and take a group shot? who knows... someone here will have a great idea.

On oldgas.com they make a calendar (I think) that they print off
from their site each month... the images they use are anywhere from a old
gas pump “in the wild” (still in use on a farm or something) an old gas
station no longer in use, an image of someones collection, etc.... We all
could do that.... And post them in an area of this sight to either download and and hang in the office (my case, a cube :) )
or use it for that months screen saver.....
We could even do a variety so we could chose from several.....
my two cents...

yes  this is the real thing   s/n 21. it would be very hard to make a good copy. a 3 door is to short and a 4 door is to long, also the compressor is on the wrong side on the 3  or 4 doors. jeff

Whats the story on that grill? where was it originally found etc? Would love to hear about it. The one thats on the Antique Vending website thats still being used for promotions etc was found about 2 hrs from where I used to live in Minot, ND.
