Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on October 29, 2006, 04:44:42 am I picked this machine up about two months ago off ebay. The seller was nice enough to deliver the machine for free in the Springfield, MO area, from Kansas City. It ended up saving me about 10 hrs worth of drive time. Its been awhile since ive had a 56, these things are great! Great size and they look great!

Nice machine. I hope I didn't nick off you all the bits you now need for this machine of yours. I've no doubt you'll have it up and running in next to no time. Dave Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: sodaworks on October 29, 2006, 08:38:18 am Can't hardly wait to get mine next month.

Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: sodaworks on October 30, 2006, 02:43:52 pm Another 56 just popped up again on ebay, but it's missing the coin mech.
Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on October 30, 2006, 04:24:17 pm This ones a keeper, This makes number 3 for me and by far the best of the three.
Joey Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on October 30, 2006, 04:58:59 pm Just looking through some pictures and thought I would share. Number one wasnt that bad just didnt look good
Number two was a basket case it ended up getting a whole new bottom welded on. And finally number three one I can be proud of. I stuck in the shelves, took out the bottle stack and there was about a dozen little pebbles stuck in the rocker arms?? stuck on the coin door, and plugged her in everything seems to be working but a fan motor. If i get it cooling im going to use it as is for a while. Once all the parts come in. Joey Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: sodaworks on October 31, 2006, 11:37:34 am It's in Missouri, I think it might be a sleeper because of the way it's listed "1956 CokeCola pop machine" No reserve auction and three days left. sitting at 420 bucks.

Whatever became of 56 #2 That thing was hammered!! Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on October 31, 2006, 05:04:19 pm #2 went to Randy in MO, I traded it for some new cooling units. I seen it Saturday Its still unsold waiting for a customer to come along and want a 56. I spotted that auction this morning its about 2 1/2 hrs from here I wish I could swing it.
Joey Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: audiobeer on October 31, 2006, 09:06:51 pm That's about 20 minutes from Randy! Anybody here bidding on it?
Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: rogerz on November 01, 2006, 01:16:06 am I'd love to have one of those myself.
Does Randy restore them? rz Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on November 01, 2006, 06:23:10 am I emailed the auction to Randy yesterday, no word yet he will probably snatch it up. He has so much going on right now around 15-25 machines to restore plus all the other odds and ends. Thats one of his biggest things is restoring machines.
Joey Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: rogerz on November 01, 2006, 10:30:24 am So his wait to have one restored must be pretty long?
rz Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on November 01, 2006, 05:28:53 pm 6 months to a year
Joey Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: audiobeer on November 05, 2006, 09:46:33 pm I don't know how is paint work is (I will know soon) but his cooling and detail work is the best I have seen. His down time on a complete restoration is at least 8 months.
Title: Vendo 56 comes home Post by: coke_and_stuff on November 05, 2006, 10:15:37 pm His paint work is very nice, I was there last Saturday he had 2 81s, a 72, and 3 or 4 sliders all knocked out and getting a 39 ready for paint. I picked up a 81 cooling unit from him and it looks great. Very Very nice work im gonna work out a deal with him for 4 or 5 units in the next month or so.
