Title: The SodaJerk Works Post by: sodaworks on October 22, 2006, 06:31:19 pm This last Friday and Sat. I set up a booth at the Arcadia coin op show. This show used to be held in Pasadena. The show wasn't as good as it once was from what I hear probably due to lack of advertising but never the less I had a good time visiting my fellow vendors, especially the Jebbs from the SodaJerk Works. Steve and Sharon's booth was right across from mine and we pretty much talked machines and stuff for two days. I really enjoyed finally getting to meet the Jebb's in person. I've talked to them numerous times over the past few years placing orders and asking Steve for his expertise on different ocassions. Although I felt I already knew the Jebb's I feel fortunate that I got to share some time with them. The SodaJerk Works booth was pretty neat, they came to the show not to sell parts but to display what their business has to offer to our hobby. There was a full line of locks, gaskets, breaker strips, handles, liners and etc.. on display. Some of these parts are new and are not yet in their catalog so if your looking for parts I would give them a call. Steve and Sharon were also nice enough to haul my new coin op. Popcorn vendor home for me. My camera's not the best but at least we can all put a face to the names of the fines folks of the SodaJerk Works.

I'll call to order a simple part and talk for 45 minutes about different projects.
I know Steve enjoys it, but I know I am not the only customer and he has lots of other work to do. You are not the only one. I don't think I've had a short conversation with him - one subject leads to another and another and.... I have noticed that Sharon seems to answer most of the calls lately though. Steve is fun to talk with, but I can't imagine how he gets any work done with all the talk. I met them once and both of them are extremely nice. My visit was all too short, but I hope to have more time in person in the future. BTW Marvin - I should have your mechs finished this next week. |
