Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: MoonDawg on October 19, 2006, 09:40:17 am Thanks all. This is weird : A lady who has been here before and seen some restored Coke machines, called yesterday. She has had a round corner Coke machine sitting on her porch for over 30 years. She wants to bring it in today, (if she can get someone to load it in her SUV), and either have it restored or sell it!
No Eric and Joey.... it's not an 81 My questioning narrowed it down to a single vend machine with a drum, so maybe.........VMC 27 / 33........Vendo 39.......? Anyways, it will be more fun to see what comes in today than any ol' cake and ice cream. Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Pat Pixley on October 19, 2006, 10:51:09 am Hey Glen , Happy Birthday it sound like it will be a fun day for you .
You will have to send some photo's of that machine (if she can get some help) or send some photo's of you with the cake or ice cream. LET'S GO TIGERS Pat Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Kilroy on October 19, 2006, 11:08:37 am Cake and well well wishes to ya MoonDawg
Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: collecture on October 19, 2006, 11:15:27 am QUOTE She wants to bring it in today, (if she can get someone to load it in her SUV), and either have it restored or sell it! Tell her it is your B-day and maybe she'll give it to you! She's probably not going to like the price it is worth after seeing the cost of restored machines. A lot of people think their 27 or 33 is worth an 81. Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: CoolCat on October 19, 2006, 11:39:15 am Happy Birthday, Glen!

Happy Birthday buddy!!! Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: MoonDawg on October 20, 2006, 06:18:06 pm She got it here! $3500.00 for a restoration was no problem for her, and that is good............... 'cause I really didn't want to buy it.
Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Skeleton Man on October 20, 2006, 06:58:57 pm So what model is it ? I always pictured the round tops as huge machines (6ft tall)..
Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Kilroy on October 20, 2006, 07:52:28 pm It's a V-39, a little under 5 ft tall (4 ft 10"). I believe the vendo 81 is the same height, and a Vendo 56 a little shorter.
Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: coke_and_stuff on October 20, 2006, 08:15:06 pm Vendo 39s, 80s, and 81s are all the same height. 56s are indeed shorter. Most roundtops arent monsters but a good size.
Looks like a great starting point Glen. Joey Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Skeleton Man on October 20, 2006, 08:24:09 pm It's a nice looking machine.. definately a great starting point !
Title: Happy Birthday Moondawg Post by: Eric on October 21, 2006, 10:39:25 pm Skeleton Man you gotta get a RT!
Pretty straight look'n 39 Is it solid Glen? Hey Pat How about them Cardinals? |
