Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: MCarter on October 10, 2006, 07:59:20 am Hi Guys,
Just have a couple of questions. 1. On a WE-6 does anyone have an a cap catcher that is metal and not fiberglass repop. 2. On the C-55 does anybody have any interest in the spacers? I am trying to see if there is interest because i will be laying these out on my CNC machine in the next few weeks. Basically iam trying to see how many i need to make ! Still having trouble posting the pictures from the 55 so if anyone can help let me know. Matt Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: collecture on October 10, 2006, 09:09:35 am Put me in for four spacers. I already have shims, so I do not need those.
Email me your pics and I'll post them for you. Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: BrianB on October 10, 2006, 11:15:26 am Matt,
I could use a set for my 55! Here are the pictures of MCarter's CS-55E (Two-Drink) machine he had delivered last week. Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: collecture on October 10, 2006, 12:11:40 pm Matt,
I have a cap catcher - not sure if it is a WE-6 cap catcher, but it fits right in. I got it a while ago off eBay. I bought it and a pair of lids to make my WE-6 look more complete. My WE-6 is missing the whole cooling system though and also has an odd BO bezel (pic below). I have never seen my type bezel on any other 6 case chest cooler and have been really perplexed as to what this machine was originally - Vendo 59 Anyway - if you want it, let me know and we'll work something out. Tom P.S. If anybody has any thoughts on the bezel and my machine - let me know. I was going to put it up with a BIN only soon anyway - just curious. Mine had the same thing on the side that you are showing. But i need the other side cap catcher. If you got just the bezal ring that all i need. You want the thin spacers for the 55 right? Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: collecture on October 11, 2006, 08:54:23 am I was talking to Steve Ebner about the Westinghouse bezels and apparently there are several different types. He reproduces the most common style. My WD-5 uses a four tab bezel and then there is a six tab bezel. How many notches does your cap catcher have for the bezel tabs?
QUOTE You want the thin spacers for the 55 right? There are shims for the 55 and there are spacers for the 55. I have a complete set of shims that I got from Josh a little while back. What I need are two sets of spacers (pictured below) - Ltransam sent me that pic and a nice spec drawing of them, but the one guy I took it to wanted too much to do all four. Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: MCarter on October 11, 2006, 08:59:11 am Ok on the spacers it will take a little while to get them done but i now know how many to make. I have 3 tabs on the cap catcher. Thanks for the help

No rush - take your time. I will not be doing anything with any of my machines until our house expansion is done (4-5 months). Can you email me a pic of the BO opening on your cap catcher? Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: MoonDawg on October 11, 2006, 11:11:40 am Tom, you may have a Westinghouse 6 case master, bezel cut down.
Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: collecture on October 11, 2006, 12:53:35 pm Glen,
The bezel is not cut, but curves over to meet the top of the cooler (see pic). It does not look like either of the 6-case Master pics in Walter's book (Cavalier or Westinghouse). Thanks Matt! Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: sodaworks on November 17, 2006, 09:09:14 pm Hello Matt,
I am restoring a C55 for a client that would like to vend cans. Do you know how many shims and spacers I would need? Thanks Terry Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: collecture on November 17, 2006, 09:57:40 pm Terry,
According to my manual, the number of shims and/or spacers depends on the diameter of the can to be vended and must be adjusted each time a different can/bottle is used. For example, a 6 1/2 oz. Coca Cola bottle used one (1) spacer on each side and two (2) shims on each side whereas a Crush 12 oz. bottle used no spacers and two shims on each side. Most all of the bottles used a spacer and the shims varied between none (0) and eight (8) shims and occasionally using odd matchups like two (2) shims on one side and three (3) on the other. Terry - does your client still need the WC-42T parts I have? Title: C-55 & WE-6 Post by: sodaworks on November 18, 2006, 11:09:18 am He bought the bottle chute, flapper door and bezel from randy in the Ozarks. Here's his #661-714-1699, his name is Jaime. Please give him a call. He still needs the parts you have. Just tell him I gave you his number. Thanks Terry
