Title: Going to give painting a try
Post by: ZMonet on September 18, 2006, 05:34:02 pm
I am going to give painting with a sprayer a try and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a website or other reading as a step by step tutorial?  I realize that it is going to take a lot of practice, but I'd like to be able to find a centralized place where I can find out information about the equipment I will need, how to prepare the paint and, of course, how to apply the paint.  Any help apreciated.  I have a Vendo 110 (red and white) and a Peps slider (dark blue) that I plan on painting.

Thans in advance.

I have yet to give it a try, but I know there is a lot of discussion here on this site about the subject.
Have you done a search through past topics?

Not to take anything away from the knowledge of this site, but I am also a member of an automotive site. The guy that runs the site is a friend of mine and a great painter. Most of his work is on bikes, but he does tutorials on body work, prep work, paint work and polishing work with photos through the different steps.. I tried to get him into painting machines, but they are too big for him. Anyway, the site is http://www.a2zautoforums.com/ He is in the SF Bay area.  I can try to drag him over here, but it may be easier to have a look over there, and pick up some tricks...
