Same here! I do not own one, but it looks like a nice original (which I love) and, if it were closer to me, I'd be all over it. It would be $450 to ship for me and I just can't swing it right now.  :(

$450 for what kind of shipping?? white glove?  Is there not a forward air terminal near them? if so you should be able to get it for under 200 I'd think?
I had a Glasco Slider from Seattle Washington to Minneapolis shipped strapped to a pallet and wrapped in cardboard for $115.00...

I'd look into it? I'd do it but just cash short now after buying the slider

There is a Forward Air in Boston I imagine, but who would I get to strap and wrap. I just had a WD-5 shipped from right near this one (Norfolk, MA) and it was $440 thru NAVL. The seller of the WD-5 wouldn't lift a finger to help me and I had checked with anybody and everybody I could think of that might be near it to help me out - but no luck.

Just my luck, if it had been a week or so ago I probably could've gotten both the WD-5 and the Jacobs shipped for not much more than the one. Two months ago, I drive by the free Slider in California just a week prior to its' posting here.
Oh well - C'est la vie - there will be another - I was just posting it here to pass it along to somebody else anyway.

Yeah it's hard when the seller isn't willing to help.. i guess I've been lucky with sellers willing to help out with a little quidance... One guy had his brother build a crate for a Jacobs 26 I bought a year ago, and he drove it 30 miles to the nearest forward air terminal for me, and it was only 98 bucks to ship it.
The Gal I bought the slider from recently out of washington, drove herself, husband and the machine to the forward air terminal and HOUR away from her. had the put it on the pallet then wrapped it in blankets and heavy cardboard, shrinkwrapped it and then ROPED it down to the pallet. NOW that was awesome ,and as you have seen on a previous post I got the machine in perfect condition.. and that too was only 110 bucks or so to ship... It's nice when Sellers are willing to help alittle to make a few bucks on a machine they most likely didn't have a lot into themselves!

I have had some luck with sellers and the guy selling the Jacobs might be willing to help. I, like you (Signguy) though, am a little cash poor right now. I would have probably chosen the Jacobs over the WD-5 had I the choice. I already have one WD-5, but that is the way it goes.

I bet! This post alone received 90+ hits since this morning. Even with shipping, it is a good deal! It is one of the best looking original Jacobs I've seen in a while. I just hope somebody here gets it and not someone who is going to turn it around for a $1000+ profit.
