Title: Small bottle problem Post by: Sodak Bob on August 27, 2006, 10:39:33 am I finally found a good source of small 8 oz coke bottles about 90 miles away. They are the red lable type. My problem is that they are not the same size (diameter) as the embossed 8 oz bottles I was getting 3 years ago, and they fall through the shelf on my vmc 44. They are about 1/4 inch less in diameter and that is enough - they will not load correctly. So, I can attatch a strip of flat metal to each side of the shelf to narrow it up or wait to find the embossed bottles (which I am not sure they still make). I hate to alter my shelf, is there another option?? Anyone with any ideas? I tried to put a picture of the bottles on the site, but I am having problems loading pictures... After a few minutes of loading - it cuts out to an error. Any Help?????

You need to make your picture smaller in size. The picture you are trying to post exceeds the 204800 byte limit. Title: Small bottle problem Post by: dr galaga on August 27, 2006, 11:15:23 am These new bottles popped up about a year and a half ago. If you do a search from the beginning of all open forums for smaller AND coke AND bottles you can find these threads, but really no solution.

You could just add it to the bottom eight inches or so of the column - couldn't you? Title: Small bottle problem Post by: Sodak Bob on August 28, 2006, 07:08:02 am For now, I put a 1/4 inch piece of cardboard along each side of the stack and it works fine - I will have to make sure it doesn't pick up moisture, if so I will go to plexi glass. Thanks for the help...

1/4" each side = 1/2" total width loss. which still may work, but I used 1/8" shims (velcro strips) on each side for a total of 1/4" width difference. Title: Small bottle problem Post by: kahonwes on August 28, 2006, 02:02:05 pm I tried the 1/4 plexiglass before I tore my machine apart and decided to resto the entire thing, it worked on the 20 something bottles I had.

a great fit! Eric |
