Title: Diagrams Post by: on August 10, 2006, 09:19:36 am Can anyone give me or direct me to basic diagrams on how the machines work, especially the can holders. my changer works good, the freon needs recharging, but if someone could copy and paste a page from their manual on the basic operations, i think that most of the machines operate on the same principle for cans, put them in the top, they go to the bottom, etc. thanx, i just need something to reference when working on mine.

I was going to say you were right with the basic principle of cans go in at the top and come out at the bottom, but you have sliders where gravity doesn't play any part, and slant shelves where the cans slide from right to left or vice versa. There are two basic mechanisms for the drop style machines (cans go in the top and drop out the bottom). The first uses a solenoid and gate (metal barrier of some sort) that drops down to allow a can to pass and pops back up to stop the rest from moving. The second uses an auger (motor with a long spiral shaft) and that's what moves the cans from their column (don't know a lot about these mechs). If you give us a model number, etc I'm sure we can help.. |
