I just got a new lock for my machine but it only came with one key.. so I was wondering where I would take it to get a copy or two made ? I don't want to go to a locksmith just to have a simple key cut.. it's a run of the mill tubular lock.. nothing special or complicated.. Hardware stores generally will cut keys but you may have better luck at a locksmith. Those are the only two hardware stores in this town, and the nearest locksmith is 45 mins away. $20 in gas and 1.5 hrs return drive to get a simple key cut is a little ridiculous.

Unless you can get the manufacturer and key code off the lock and try it that way... I think you'd be better off getting another lock with more than one key, or just being really careful with the one key you have.
