I've shipped a few machines long distances before, usually using Forward Air.
From your experience, what are the best/cheapest companies to use when shipping a machine? I found this one called dnaFreight that seems to be pretty cheap, anyone used them before? Thanks!!

I've used Forward air several times, but some require you to crate it before they'll take it. I've also talked with other terminals to have machines shipped to me and they said they would strap it to a pallet and ship it.. Forward air is still the cheapeast I've found.

I heard a rumor that Forward air just raised their prices. The rumor said that someone went to ship a jukebox a week or two ago and it was over $400.

I used Yellow Freight before. They make you create it and put it on a pallet. They were easy to deal with, but expensive.

I used these guys the last couple of times. I found them to be the cheapest. Global Tranz 1-866-275-1407

You've used Yellow? How many pieces did you ship compared to how many were received???
Most shipments that come to my business through Yellow start out as one piece, and end up in multiple pieces.. For common carriers, we ship everything through Old Dominion. We have very few "issues" with them, and the packages show up in pretty close to the same condition as when it ships... I've also heard some good things about R&L carriers...

I just had a C55 picked up last night from yellow. No crate necessary but it had to be on a pallet. I asked what it cost the buyer and the driver said it was probably around $150 from cincinnati to philly. That isn't too bad for door to door service.
