Title: Uss-64 with a bad compressor Post by: bubba on July 12, 2006, 08:04:19 am I've got a lead on a USS-64 that is supposed to have a bad compressor.. not sure what makes it bad at this point, but if the guy thinks its bad I don't want to argue..... Machine looks clean.. Whats a compressor go for on this?? IS a compressor a compressor? I have another machine I am hoping to get this week as a parts machine that is supposed to cool.. Its a Vendo later model can machine.. Can this compressor be used?

Title: Uss-64 with a bad compressor Post by: johnieG on July 12, 2006, 11:47:25 am In general if the two machines are aprox. the same size inside, you should be able to swap it out, check to see if the copper lines go up inside on the same side as the doner machine and that they'll reach without kinking.
if you make a cheap investment in a three in one starter booster, you can use it to check the Cavaliers compressor & see if it's still able to fire up...you never know, it might just be a bad start/run relay or overtemp protector, in which case, you get away cheap...keep us updated.. Title: Uss-64 with a bad compressor Post by: bubba on July 12, 2006, 03:31:20 pm I'm going to make an effort to get this one... its a bit more than an hour from me, but it has to be done during business hours. That makes it a bit more difficult for me to get too. In the mean time, if you can shed some more lite on this starter booster, I'd appreciate it. I'd love to get away cheap
